Right now, I'm 35. I live in Newcastle, NSW and I can be a bit of a homebody. I like snuggling with my partner of 13 years, Evan, to watch a movie and just chill.
I write (a lot), I sing (a lot), I teach yoga (a bit), and I LOVE to laugh.
My purpose in life is to create, inspire and motivate others to awaken themselves the way that I have over the last few years. Basically, I've known what it's like to feel heavy. I want to help people to feel lighter.
I left school just before I turned 16 because I'm definitely a 'learn-by-doing' type of person. I also have strong thoughts on the mainstream school system, but that’s a rant for another day.
After leaving school I worked mostly in pharmacy for 9 years. In 2009 I started working from home for a GPS Tracking company. I was there for 7 years, and while I don't regret that time, I realise that it wasn't a great fit for who I am. But it taught me a lot, so I wouldn’t change a thing. During this time I completed my Bachelor of Social Science (with Distinction) and I love the way that it taught me to think critically about society and the things we often take for granted.
In 2015 I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in Byron Bay and it lit the fire within me that has allowed me to realise that anything is possible. This led me to resign from my job in early 2016 and I started the yoga studio, Two Feet Yoga, with my friend Cindra Banks. Working together we also found a shared passion for creating, inspiring and mentoring other women to move through their limits & blocks and get going with their business and lives. We created our off-shoot business, Two Feet Creative in early 2017.
While we eventually realised that we were not in alignment to be working together in early 2018, and with our yoga studio having closed in late 2017, we went our separate ways. We’re still great friends, and you never know, we may work together again in the future.
In 2018 & early 2019 I worked in retail and in a clinic as a receptionist, and I’m lovingly thinking of it as my ‘gap year’. I needed a break. I needed time to grieve the businesses that were born and then put to rest (seriously, they’re like children). I needed to figure out what lights me up.
And now I know.
It’s writing. It’s creating. It’s teaching. It’s expanding. It’s connecting. It’s motivating & inspiring others to break through their bullshit to live fuller, lighter lives.
And If I can do it, so can you.
